We’re here to help you look and feel your best, and your job is to relax, tell your consultant what you’re looking for, and let our expert team handle the rest. Consultation

Finding your dream hair starts with a consultation. We offer them both virtually- where you can video call with your consultant from home- OR out of our four physical locations across California, Florida, and New York, where you can visit us in-person and try on pieces in our showrooms!

Particularly if you are purchasing a piece for your wedding, we always recommend coming for an in-person consultation if you can, because it gives you the chance to touch and feel our pieces and try things on before making your decision. 

That being said, if it’s not an option for you to visit us in person, don’t fret! This is the exact reason why we offer virtual consultations- so that you can receive the same Milano experience no matter where you are!

During your consultation, you’ll be met with expert care and service as your consultant gets to know you and your hair, learns about your needs and the look you’re going for, and matches you with your perfect piece in our collection.

Personalizations

Once you’ve worked with your consultant to choose your perfect hair piece, the next step is for us to personalize it to you. 

There ARE some pieces in our collection that are ready to wear as-is, but more likely than not, to get your piece wedding-ready, our team may need to customize it with cut, color, or alteration services. This includes things like slight cap-size adjustments to make your wig a perfect fit, a haircut on your topper to add face-framing layers or make it match the length of your bio hair, or a color service to add highlights or balayage, to name a few examples!  

Our consultants and stylists will be in touch with you every step of the way to provide updates on how your wig or topper is coming along, and when it’s ready, you can either have it mailed to you, OR you can come back in to our showroom and try on your finished piece! This will allow you to make sure your wig or topper is exactly what you wanted, down to every last detail. 

If you have any dissatisfaction with your finished piece, our team of talented experts is dedicated to making any adjustments needed until it's nothing short of perfect. If there’s still something that needs to be fixed after we personalize your piece for you, no pressure! Let us and we will make it happen for you!

Things to keep in mind when purchasing a wig or hair topper for your wedding:

• Start the process far in advance: To avoid even the tiniest risk that an unexpected issue may come up or that your piece isn't finished in time, make sure to book your appointment at least several months in advance of your wedding. It won't take that long to get your wig or topper to you, but this will eliminate room for error! Also, if you end up with your finished wig long before you plan to wear it, make sure that it's stored properly in the meantime!
  
• Feel comfortable wearing it by your wedding day: you don’t want the first time you wear your wig to be on the day of your wedding. We always suggest spending some time wearing your wig at home or running errands prior to the big day. That way, you get used to the feeling of wearing it, AND, if it has any issues you didn’t notice upon purchasing it- like the cap size is just ever so slightly too small, or the color isn’t what you wanted upon closer inspection- you’re discovering it in a low-stakes circumstance instead on the literal day of your wedding.
  • This is also part of why we suggest allowing plenty of time between when you purchase your wig and when you’ll be wearing it! Adding extra gap time just gives you additional allowance in case something needs to be fixed.
• Don’t manhandle your hair piece: While it is important to have some practice wearing your wig or topper prior to the big day, as we mentioned above, it's also important to avoid wearing it TOO much, or handling it in a way that could damage the hair or shorten its lifespan. This includes things like using heavy products or constant heat styling, washing too frequently, or wearing it while swimming, sleeping, or exercising. If you do wash your piece, make sure to follow the proper method for washing human hair wigs and hair toppers as described in our guide, and use a salon-quality, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner.
• Plan out your hairstyle in advance: While human hair wigs and hair toppers, for the most part, will behave like the hair growing out of someone's head, there are still some limitations on how they can be styled. Because the hair on them won't grow back, it requires gentler handing than your bio hair, which means being considerate about use of excessive products or heat styling which can damage the hair. Depending on the specific wig or topper you choose, there may also be limitations to how it can be worn up without revealing that you are wearing a hair piece. If you have an idea of what bridal hairstyle you would like to wear, you should let your consultant know so they can factor that into their assessment of which pieces in our collection would be the best fit for you. Regardless, it's important to practice your bridal hairstyle (with your wig or topper) before your wedding to make sure what you've envisioned is doable!
  
• Let us know that you're looking for a hair piece to get married in: When you make your appointment, make sure to include in the appointment notes that you are coming to us specifically to find a wig or topper to wear for your wedding. Additionally, if you are going to be visiting us from out of town, be sure to make a note of that as well! This will help our consultants best prepare for your visit by making sure that your appointment allows enough time and that we have the styles you may be looking for in stock for you to try on.
