Returns & Exchanges

Exchanging or Returning an Item?


This policy applies to online website orders unless indicated otherwise. Eligible online orders may be returned or exchanged within 5 days of the carrier-confirmed delivery date. Before sending an item back, please request a Return Merchant Authorization Number, also called an RMA. For showroom purchases, please see the Showroom Purchases section below or refer to your sales order.

PLEASE NOTE: Orders placed during sales and promotions may be EXCHANGE ONLY. Please review the details provided in your order confirmation email.

Exchanges are FREE, meaning Milano does not charge an exchange processing fee or outbound shipping fee on approved exchanges. Return shipping to Milano is the customer’s responsibility. We hope you'll fall in love with your piece the second time around, whether that means finding the right cap construction, style, or color. Choose from a large selection.

There is a 5-day return/exchange policy for all purchases from this website as long as the items are in as-new, unworn and unaltered condition. WiGrips, GripCaps and TopGrips must be in unopened original packaging. The 5-day return policy begins when your item is received from the shipping carrier, and includes weekends. Milano uses a tracking system for all items shipped.

Wigs must be shipped back to Milano within 5 days of receipt in the original packaging, with tags attached, to qualify for return/exchange.

Please log into your account, or if you checked out as a guest, click here to request a Return Merchant Authorization Number, or email cs@milanowigs.com for a return authorization. Please insert a copy of the RMA with the wig. An RMA allows us to identify and process your return or exchange once it arrives, but it does not include a prepaid return shipping label. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and we recommend using a trackable shipping method for peace of mind.

A customer service representative will be in contact with you once the item is received and inspected to process the return/exchange.

Showroom Purchases


Purchases made in a Milano Showroom may be exchanged within 3 days of purchase. To be eligible, the item must be in as-new, unworn, and unaltered condition, with original tags attached and original packaging included. Showroom purchases are not refundable.

Processing Time


Refunds and exchanges are processed within 4–5 business days of being received and inspected. It can take up to 7 business days to see the credit show up on your account once the return/exchange is processed.

Postage


Shipping fees are non-refundable. Orders shipped via the free shipping option will incur a shipping fee of $15 upon refund. The shipping fee will be deducted from the refundable amount. Free Shipping is provided on paid orders. Exchanges will not incur a shipping fee. Return shipping postage is not included and wigs must be shipped back at the customer’s expense. We recommend using a reputable parcel service with tracking confirmation for your return. Milano Collection assumes no responsibility for any returned item lost during transit.

Odor-Free


Any odor on your wig will render it ineligible for return or exchange, or may be subject to a $55 restocking fee. Milano Collection shall be the sole arbitrator to determine if a wig has been altered in any way from its original condition and if it is returnable. Please allow 4-5 business days for your exchange/return to be processed from the time it is received by Milano.

Refund


Once approved, your refund will be processed and automatically applied to your original method of payment. Cap size adjustment fees, custom measurement fees, adding ear pieces and wig secure method costs are not refundable.

Milano Gift Cards are non-refundable. Available balance does not expire.

Added Cut and Color Service:


Wigs cut and/or colored by a Milano Stylist may be returned, but all charges for salon cut and color services are non-refundable. Wigs that have been cut by a non-Milano stylist, or if you request your wig to be cut by more than 1 inch of its original length, may not be returned.

Cap Adjustments and Enhancements:


Orders with cap size adjustment fees, custom measurement fees, adding ear pieces and wig secure method costs may be returned, but the costs for these adjustments and enhancements are not refundable.

Custom/Special Orders


Custom orders are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged. All custom sizing alterations outside of Milano standard sizing, removal of hair and/or wefts and ear-tabs, and other custom cap adjustments, are considered "custom orders", and may not be refunded, returned or exchanged.

In Stock Policy


If your item is not in stock you will be notified by phone or email within 1-2 business days of placing your order. You will have the option of choosing another in-stock wig, or waiting to receive your order. A delivery estimate will be provided. If your item is not in stock, you may choose to cancel your order any time before it has been shipped to you.
